Kongsberg Defense Corporation, located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is part of Kongsberg Gruppen (KONGSBERG), an international knowledge-based group that supplies high-technology systems and solutions to customers engaged in oil and gas production, the merchant marine, and the defense and aerospace industries. Kongsberg Defense Corporation performs final assembly and testing of remote weapon stations. The company also performs repair and overhaul of remote weapon stations that come back from field operations. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team for the following position.
#K0210 VICE PRESIDENT -- US GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE & FINANCE -- This position is responsible for offering the highest level of innovation and problem solving skills to influence overall efficiency, avoidance of lawsuits, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.
USG Compliance: Provides the interpretation and application of government regulations to KD Corporation. May also be called upon to coordinate with other Kongsberg business units concerning government accounting and compliance matters, as circumstances dictate such a need. This position reports administratively to the Vice President & General Manager of KD Corporation. Also acts as a liaison with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). maintains CAS disclosure statements and prepares and negotiates: forward pricing rates, incurred cost submissions, cost impact analyses resulting from accounting changes, and advance agreements, as appropriate.
Finance: Maintains overall financial responsibility for KDC. Provides strategic support to the General Manager and the business related to daily operations and future objectives of the Finance and Compliance departments. Acts as a liaison with Defense Contract Audit Agency. Ensures accuracy of internal reporting is in compliance with the US Government rules and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; Master's degree preferred. 15 years experience in accounting, negotiations, and government contracting to include 5 years supervisory experience. Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) required. Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) preferred. Prior experience in government accounting in a defense contracting manufacturing environment and proven leadership, supervisory ability experience preferred.
