PLEASE APPLY DIRECTLY VIA OUR ONLINE RECRUITMENT SITE: http://omni.hospitalityonline.com/jobs/154065-overnight-loss-prevention-officer This is an Overnight Position - Candidates must be able to work Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM - 7 AM, with an optional shift on Mondays from 3 PM - 11 PM. The Loss Prevention Officer ensures that the hotel guests, associates, and hotel property are maintained in a safe and secure environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs safety rounds of the hotel as follows: all restaurants, all lobby areas and the Associates Entrance area, all guest floors, executive offices, service levels (back of house areas). Visits all locations requiring special attention as frequently as needed. Responds immediately to those emergency incidents and Security requests to which he is assigned. Ensures maximum guest, associate, and hotel safety and security at all times. Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures. Reports in writing on all activities during each shift before leaving the hotel, with oral reports and emergency notifications delivered as directed by the established Security procedures. Performs duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor and/or Director of Rooms and responds to directions from any Executive Committee member or Assistant Manger. Creates and maintains the highest standards of Security at all times, being professional in attitude, appearance, and application. Checks associates leaving and entering the hotel at the beginning and end of shift, or at any time when an associate leaves the hotel. Collects all package passes and inspects parcels taken from the hotel. Monitors the Security of the receiving dock. Confiscates all unauthorized parcels, etc., and notifies the Security Supervisor and the appropriate department head. Checks all IDs of the hotel staff and provides information and direction upon proper identification of all job applicants, salesmen, etc. Notifies the department head involved for permission for non-staff personnel to enter the premises. Does not leave assigned station unless properly relieved as specified by the Security Supervisor. Performs all necessary clerical requirements of the Security Department under the supervision of the Director of Security. Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work overnight shift The ideal candidate will have solid LP/Security experience which may include CPR and Security certifications. There is a strong customer service component to this particular LP position and strong interpersonal skills as well as the desire to provide exceptional service to an upscale clientele is a must.
