Requisition ID 25551BR Title Customer Care Representative Job Category Customer Service / Administration Employment Status Full Time Location/State/City PA - Pittsburgh Position Summary The Customer Care Representative acts the important first-line of contact with customers, setting the tone for how members view our company and services, providing members with the right information at the right time to help them make better decisions about their health and health care. S/he Delivers the highest quality customer service through the execution of empathy, problem solving, pro-active responsiveness, reliability, assurance/confidence, and professionalism on every plan participant interaction in a patient-focused call center environment. Shifts available for Monday through Saturdays, with hours between 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Education High School Diploma or GED. Experience Able to establish personal standards of quality while applying company's best practices in own work. Able to adapt to shifting priorities in response to the needs of internal and external client. Ability to work to clarify situations where information, instructions, or objectives are ambiguous. Able to remain calm and professional in potentially volatile or emotionally charged interactions and unexpected situations while maintaining satisfactory level of productivity. Seeks out and works effectively with internal and/or external customers who have diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and/or styles. Proven ability to quickly and accurately identify expressed and unexpressed customer needs and potential products/services to meet those needs, and adapt a communication style that matches that of the participant. Makes decisions and exercise good judgment, and positively deal with changes in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Gathers appropriate data and diagnose the cause of a problem, and evaluate, develop and deliver alternative courses of action. Accepts responsibility for the outcomes of his/her own work while applying the use of customer knowledge and feedback to improve personal results. Responds to customer satisfaction expectations through regular and consistent attendance, scheduling flexibility and availability. Consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism through a strong work ethic that demonstrates respect for others and positively influences results. Establishes personal standards of quality while applying company's best practices in own work. Qualifications Performs as a consultative resource to plan participants in need of assistance with their prescription benefit plan demonstrating behaviors that contribute to the department's achievement of service level goals. Establishes a rapport with plan participants to understand their needs, while providing appropriate solutions and efficient customer service. Recognizes significant life events, identify plan participants' needs and advises them on appropriate solutions. It may involve probing and understanding real and perceived underlying needs, identifying relevant choices and moving through decision and action. Works collaboratively with our business partners to provide solutions for customers. Promotes a positive team environment, continuously seeking opportunities for developing professional expertise, which support the goals and objectives of CVS/Caremark. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills and exercises high discretion on sensitive and confidential matters. 3 years customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, social services or a similar service position. Life experiences such as providing elder care, being a primary care giver, or volunteer work within the community are preferred.
