AJ Vacancy by http://albuquerquejobz.blogspot.com Facilities Manager (Altoona, PA) 3 Jun 2011, 2:45 pm Facilities Manager Location: Altoona Campus 2900 Fairway Drive Altoona, PA 16602 Schedule: M-F 8-5 DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND TASKS Reports to the Campus President Maintains the facility/grounds in a safe, clean and sanitary condition at all times. Ensuring equipment and all functioning components in machinery are in good working order while in compliance with codes and requirements. Responsible for: •Delegate and/or perform Custodial/Maintenance duties to maintain facility/grounds in a safe and presentable condition at all times •Trouble shoot, inspect and repair minor electrical equipment, plumbing equipment, doors and latching systems •Maintain all equipment in good operating condition, develop and perform preventative maintenance on required systems (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, security, HVAC)•Maintain inventory of supplies necessary to maintain and support school facility/grounds•Plan, schedule and assign work for various employees and contractors•Train and supervise maintenance and custodial employees as to the operation and safety of equipment for facilities/grounds•Special projects as assigned•Shipping and receiving events•Budget sensitive•Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION STANDARD Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Required: 5 years facility management or related experience with a practical knowledge of mechanical and general maintenance procedures. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent.
